Not saying it's right, but it's China... They steal everyone's ideas.

At least they file the serial numbers off first.

There are two versions of this announcement going around. One from Urgentcomm and the other linked above. Motorola's newsroom release goes into details where Urgentcomm does not.

Here's the actual suit (with exact references to the technologies).

Motorola Solutions v Hytera Communications

I got about half way through before I had to take a break.

As a long time M user, its easy to see the strong resemblance in the Hytera stuff...then they took that and added even more stuff to it! I've only just scraped the surface of a new 10 ch DMR Tier III system I just put up....but it looks really good, and was a fraction of the price! I see Motorolas move as a pre-emptive strike due to the fear that has likely struck them with all the Asian products coming to NA! I hear Chinese manufacturers have been buying us IWCE floor space like crazy over the last few years!

If you have a Hytera Tier III system working…your one of the only success stories currently.

I prefer Simoco's approach to Tier III currently the best. Each repeater is the controller and system server. 25 sites is the limit without and external server (500 with the external servers).

That's pretty straight forward. Basically saying that Motorola is a bully and doesn't like to play fair.
