P25 Repeater Map

Post by Falcon » Fri Mar 17, 2017 3:21 pm

Any interest in a google map that has P25 repeater locations pinned?

I would prefer that over a multi page thread on the forum where one has to read every post to see if there is a repeater in the area of interest. In my opinion the best solution would be one map for all repeaters P25NX, stand alone or linked via other technology like Astro Tac and using different Icons so that one can immediately see what is going on in the area of interest.

I think it would be a great addition. And as DC5AJ stated, it would be much easier to locate on a map rather than scrolling through a thread.

That's my thinking as well. There is one for the P25NX stuff but not one that I have ever seen for the standalone P25 stuff. Would be awesome to have them all on one map though.

Thinking about working on one.

There are 5 tower sites going up around my locality in the next six months. I'll get the locations to you. lat/long OK?

Want to make it where anyone can add to it. Make it interactive.

I've been busy and have not had a chance to mess with it yet. But it's on the list of things to do.

I'm definitely game for an interactive map. I added hundreds of sites to a map of the old AT&T Long Lines network. The "my maps" tool is a solid place to start. Definitely make a backup copy, in case someone decides to delete it.
