Re: Alinco DJ-NX40T

I've attached some screen shots from the Alinco CPS as well as a working Kenwood. I'm open to suggestions on things to try.

Re: XTL1500 Menu Options

I'll take you up on that offer. I'm sitting at the airport on my way to Basel Switzerland for business, but will send it to you at my first opportunity. How would you prefer to receive it?

Re: XTL1500 Menu Options

I'm using the stock head for the 1500, which I believe was the MX? http://www.radioshop.com/images/motorola/products-large/motorola-xtl1500.png I didn't see anything in the menu that I could specifically define as next, left, right, etc. I'll look again. I expected similar functionality to the direc...

XTL1500 Menu Options

I've recently been exposed, for the first time, to an XTL1500. Are you limited to only four menu items on these radios? It seems, by reading information online, that you should be able to scroll through the options if there are more than four present, but thus far I'm unable to get it to function th...

Re: SharkRF

I have one and I like it. I also have the D4Mini and the BlueSpot with a dualband DVMega attached. I think the interface of the OpenSpot is the best and I find it very clean and usable. It also does some cross-mode which the others don't do, such as allowing a Fusion (C4FM) radio to be used on DMR. ...

Re: P25 Ham Systems

I'm hosting the core of our network, which is an 12-port AstroTac 3000 connected to a Cisco 3825 router. We use the Ubiquity devices to connect the sites to the core via OpenVPN tunnels. OpenVPN works very nicely, because it will handle a peer with a dynamic IP, vs. IPSec which requires IP's to be s...

Re: P25 Ham Systems

I've added my two systems in Noblesville, IN. 70cm and 33cm. These will be part of the Indiana Quantar Network (IQN) which we are in the process of building out. Right now we have four systems live and are bring another 2-3 on shortly. We are using the AstroTac 3000 along with Ubiquiti VPN products ...

Alinco DJ-NX40T

Any one play with one of these yet? I picked one up to see how they worked against our fleet of Kenwood NX-320's. So far, I'm only impressed by the fact that the charging cradle is also the programming cradle. I've been unable to get this radio to operate on our Kenwood NXDN Repeaters or in simplex ...
