Re: Talk Inhibit/Talk Permit Tone

Not much detail on the noise it makes, is it the clear tx tone?

Re: v15.5 CPS released Friday

Just bumped up my 3500 to the latest, no immediate problems but we shall see. We don’t so much TRBO here so I don’t foresee myself finding any issues.

Re: Antenna adapter for XPR threaded stud connector

Please share the Mouser part number. He linked directly to the product. There is a rf adaptor PMLN6154A for $ 158.03 and a RF adaptor holder for $ 158.03 (lost number). Yeah. screw that. A kind soul on another board informed me that this is a Hirose MS-147 connector, and with that I was able to fin...

Position B is automatically set to that when Position A is set to Secure TX select, thats why its grayed out. There has to be a programming issue in one of the secure or trunking fields.

I didnt even look at the scramblers based on the data burst statement, but that makes sense. Glad you got it figured out!

Re: P25NX Help

Yeah... If you’re thinking about adding a machine to the network, I’d encourage it. The more it grows, the better it’ll be. And, unlike DMR and the other networked systems that anyone can get on with a shit cheap radio... At least this system requires some decent tech knowledge and a good quality M...

It’s real. It’s decent ham radio.

Re: P25NX Help

In general how active is the p25nx network? I keep tossing around the idea of putting a repeater up on it around here, but don’t want it to be silent all the time.

Re: XTS & XTL Documents

I think we need to start a new sub forum for documents. The sub forum can be sub sub divided for service manuals, user/install manuals and CPS user guides and finally release notes and misc info. I like the format linking that is in post 1 and the other similar posts the only change I would like is...

Re: How well does the MMDVM really work?

https://wiki.brandmeister.network/index.php/Homebrew/MMDVM This is a good reference. It says the M1225 has an unstable BER on receive. Then again someone claims the GR1225 is works? I'm guessing you're having the issues with receive BER so I'd say a GR1225 doesn't work for RX. I can personally conf...

Re: How well does the MMDVM really work?

Well I've been farting around with getting it running on a GR1225 and have been having a nightmare of a time getting audio levels set to a point where the digital will reliably pass through. All audio levels set to "spec" using the tuning apps, the answer turn the dials until audio passes through. ...
